Work Shouldn’t Come at the Cost of Your Wellbeing

If disability, ADHD, autism, or a health condition makes work more challenging, Access to Work can provide funded support to help you work in ways that suit your needs, strengths, and wellbeing.

Funding • Coaching • Practical support

What Is Access to Work?

Access to Work can help remove some of the barriers that make work harder.

It’s a UK Government scheme that can provide practical support to help disabled people and people with health conditions get into work or stay in work.

Practical support

Access to Work can help fund support that makes working more manageable, depending on your individual circumstances and needs.

Work-focused

The support is designed around your working life, helping with barriers that may affect how you do your job.

Individual

Everyone’s needs are different. The support available depends on your circumstances, your role and the barriers you’re experiencing.

Good to know

You don’t necessarily need a formal diagnosis to apply. Access to Work considers how your health condition or disability affects you at work and what support you may need.

Could Coaching Help You?

The goal isn't to make you work differently.

It's to find ways of working that work better for you.

What can Neurodiversity coaching support?

Neurodiversity coaching can help you understand what makes work harder and develop practical ways to manage it. Coaching is practical, collaborative and tailored to you.

Together, we might work on:

Create your systems

Planning, prioritising, organisation and managing workload.

Reduce overwhelm

Understand what’s contributing to overload and develop strategies that help.

Navigate change

New roles, responsibilities, workplace expectations or self-employment.

Communicate your needs

Explore boundaries, reasonable adjustments and ways to communicate what helps.

How does it work?

Access to Work is a UK Government process that reviews your circumstances and the barriers you face at work, then considers what support could help.

01

Apply

Make an Access to Work application based on the challenges you experience in your working life.

02

Explore your needs

Your circumstances and the barriers you experience are considered to identify what support may help.

03

Access support

If support is agreed, you can use it to help make work more manageable and sustainable.

Good to know: Access to Work applications can take time to process, so apply as early as possible.

What Access to Work does not replace

Access to Work is additional support. It does not replace an employer's legal responsibility to make reasonable adjustments where required.

Reasonable adjustments might include changes to working arrangements, communication, equipment or other aspects of your role.

If you're unsure what is reasonable to ask for, coaching can give you space to explore what you actually need and how you might communicate it.

How Reframe can support you

Considering Access to Work-funded coaching?

We can help you understand whether this type of support could be useful for you.

  • Talk through the areas you're finding difficult
  • Help you identify practical areas where coaching could support you
  • Provide a tailored coaching proposal where appropriate
  • Deliver one-to-one neurodiversity coaching if funding is approved

The focus isn't on changing who you are. It's about finding ways of working that are more sustainable for you.

Thinking about Access to Work?

You don't need to have all the answers before starting a conversation.

If you're considering coaching for work, you can book a free, no-pressure consultation to talk through what you're experiencing and explore whether Reframe could be the right fit.

Clarity comes first. Decisions come later.
